CONTINENTAL PORTRAIT OF A WOMAN

The Before & After results are staggering on this Continental portrait by an unknown artist. A heavy layer of shellac had been applied to the canvas decades ago.  Over time it darkened considerably, obscuring the fine painterly quality, as well as the whimsical personality, of this portrait.
